Baily Court Hotel, Howth, North County Dublin (2012-present)

This mixed-use development is located on the prominent site of a former hotel in the heart of the historic coastal village of Howth.

Michael Heather and a UK investor group purchased the hotel in late 2012 and secured planning for a substantial mixed-use scheme a year later. Further land was purchased to the rear of the hotel site in late 2013 and then the entire site was sold to a large UK investment fund in 2014.

The Irish developer Marlet secured the site and, along with the old community centre on c. 2.5 acres, created a large development opportunity of over four acres in this very desirable residential area. Planning consent was granted in 2023 for a scheme combining retail space with some 170 apartments. Construction commenced in March 2024.
